BIBBINS Family

I have an old photograph identified as Jennie (EVERTS) BIBBINS which was taken at the Bishop Studio in Minneapolis, MN, sometime in the 1890's. Jennie appears to be in her 40's at the time the photograph was taken. I believe that this is a photograph of Sarah Jane "Jennie" EVERTS BIBBINS and with limited research have gathered the following information regarding Jennie and her family:

Sarah Jane “Jennie” EVERTS was b. 27 Jul 1852 in Mount Carroll, IL to parents Rezin or Regin EVERTS (1814-1881) and Sophronia PRESTON or PRESTSON (1814-1900) who were married in 1840. Jennie was one of 5 children born to this couple including Edmund Austen or Austin; Althea or Alittia or Alitha; Julian O.; Ann; and Sarah Jane “Jennie” EVERTS, all born between 1840 and 1852. Jennie married Sidney Edgar BIBBINS (1855-1929) on 15 May 1880 in Boulder, CO and they had three children including Aletha or Alethe Everts; Melvin Hawley; and Helen Haywood BIBBINS, all born between 1882 and 1889.

Jennie died 22 Sept 1921 in Chatfield, MN and she is buried in the Chatfield cemetery. Her obituary listed her surviving family members including her husband and daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Alethe) EVANS and Mrs. Herbert (Helen) MEYER both of Gooding, ID.
